PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ester oil agent that can satisfy all of the requirements including compatibility with silicones, solubilization of poor soluble substances, high safety, for example, reduced smell, low skin irritation, good feeling in use, as well as high time-passage and oxidation stability, pale coloration, keeping liquid state even at low temperatures. SOLUTION: The diester is obtained from a 6-9C saturated and branched chain dihydric alcohol and neopentanoic acid or the oil agent comprises the diester. Further, a cosmetic or an external preparation for skin containing the diester are used. By the invention, an oil agent attaining the above-subject is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
