摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for navigation by using correlation in a selected area. SOLUTION: The method comprises: the step 506 of memorizing data required for reconstructing related angle to both an object and distance up to the object during initial crossing throughout the selected area together with statistical accuracy information; the step 604 of measuring the related angle at that present time to both the object and distance up to the object during subsequent crossing throughout the selected area; the step 608 of correlating the related angle at that present time to both the object and distance up to the object with related angle to both the object and distance up to the object reconstructed from the memorized data; the step of determining at least either one of location estimate value or heading azimuth estimate value at that present time in the selected area based on at least a part of the correlation result at a minimum; and the step 920 of using at least either one of the location estimate value or the heading azimuth estimate value at that present time for navigation.
