PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kitchen knife sharpener capable of prolonging the life of a grindstone to considerably increase a product life.SOLUTION: The kitchen knife sharpener has a cutter polishing body a and a gripper d. The cutter polishing body a is constructed by fastening, by nuts 6 and 7, grindstone flanges 4 and 5 also serving as gaskets to the left and right nuts 2 and 3 of a disk two-sided diamond grindstone 1 having a shaft rod 13 put through a bulging center and forming shaft receivers 9 and 10 and grindstone shaft idle rotation prevention brake pads 11 and 12 outside the nut. The gripper d forms an upper side mounting part 14 on which opposing cutter guides b and c are slid and mounted and which has a grindstone fitting part 15 having the cutter polishing body a fitted therein. The upper mounting part 14 and the cutter guides b and c are loaded by cutter guide positioning pins 20 and 21 for adjusting a gap between cutter insertion parts 18 and 19 between the left and right sides 2 and 3 and the end surfaces 16 and 17 of the cutter guides b and c, brake pad adjust screws 22 and 23 for pressing and adjusting the grindstone shaft idle rotation prevention pads 11 and 12, and cutter guide fixing screws 24 and 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
