INKJET PRINTING METHOD AND WATER-BASED INK

The present invention pertains to: [1] an inkjet printing method having a printing step in which a water-based ink is discharged on to the surface of a print medium; and [2] a water-based ink used in same. The water-based ink contains a pigment (A), an organic solvent (B), a surfactant (C), and water. The organic solvent (B) contains at least glycol ether. The glycol ether has a viscosity of 2.0-5.5 mPa·s at 20°C and a vapor pressure of 0.03-6.0 hPa at 20°C. The water-based ink contains no more than 5% by mass high-boiling-point organic solvent having a boiling point of at least 250°C. The inkjet printing method prints at a printing speed of at least 70 m/min in terms of the conveyance speed of the printing medium.
