Information display means for use in e.g. a shopping centre comprises a touchscreen which displays an electronic interactive map or a directory. When a user touches the screen at a point coordinated to a desired location of interest, the display mode changes over to a second condition in which the display shows information as to how to travel from the location of the screen to the location selected via the touchscreen. This may be by way of a map, e.g. with an animated figure showing the route or by means of a video clip, and, if desired, accompanied by an audio message with oral instruction as to how to get from the screen to the desired location. The information display means may comprise two separate screens.
