PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for selecting movement and a movement selection method, capable of extracting a recorded title which is identical or similar to a recorded title selected as an object to move from recorded title data and simplifying selection of recorded titles for movement and movement setting. SOLUTION: Whether a recorded title identical or similar to a recorded title selected as an object to move has ever been moved is retrieved. If there is an identical or similar title which has ever been moved, the information is fetched, and a selected title of a recorded program and a title of a similar program are included; and a movement method that is visually easily recognizable is presented to the operator.
