The subject of the present invention is a process of preparing a crosslinked gel of at least one polysaccharide or one of its salts, including at least the steps consisting in: a) providing, at a temperature below 35° C., an aqueous gel including at least one polysaccharide in an uncrosslinked form together with at least one difunctional or multifunctional epoxy crosslinking agent; b) maintaining the mixture of step a) at a temperature below 35° C. for at least one hour; c) stimulating the crosslinking reaction of the mixture obtained after step b), and if need be; d) recovering said crosslinked gel formed. |

1. A process of preparing a crosslinked gel of at least one polysaccharide or one of its salts, comprising:
a) providing, at a temperature between 15° C. and below 35° C., an aqueous mixture resulting from mixing at least one polysaccharide or salt thereof in an uncrosslinked form at least one difunctional or multifunctional epoxy crosslinking agent and an aqueous medium; b) homogenizing, at a temperature between 15° C. and 35° C., the aqueous mixture obtained in step a), until a homogeneous gel is obtained; and c) after step b), performing a resting step in which the homogeneous gel obtained in step b) is rested at a temperature between 15° C. and 35° C. for at least one hour to initiate a first crosslinking rate, and d) after step c), incubating the mixture of step c) at a temperature between 45° C. and 55° C. for 30 minutes to 300 minutes to initiate a second crosslinking rate. |
