PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure comfortability and dehumidifying performance at a level approximately equal to that in the steady state of a normal mode while saving power for the drive of a variable displacement compressor by setting an economy mode. SOLUTION: This vehicle air-conditioning device is provided with an evaporator succeeding temperature sensor 51 (evaporator succeeding temperature detection means) for detecting the temperature of an evaporator; the variable displacement compressor 20 having a solenoid valve 21 for varying the discharge capacity of a refrigerant; an air-conditioning ECU 30 (electric current control means) for control electric current flowing in the solenoid valve 21 so that detected evaporator temperature becomes target evaporator temperature; and an economy switch 41 for switching the variable displacement compressor 20 from the normal mode to the economy mode. The air-conditioning ECU 30 controls an electric current value flowing in the solenoid valve 21 to a predetermined upper limit value Iup or lower within a range from a minimum electric current value 0 to a maximum electric current value Io flowing during setting of the normal mode, in accordance with the operation of the economy switch 41.
