The present invention relates to an extensible technology/path search service method and a system thereof, the method comprising the steps of: (a) searching for a technology classification code directly connected to a technology classification code inputted by a user, by using a technology classification code connection map; (b) presenting a list including various pieces of attribute information of a patent group to which the searched for technology classification code and the inputted technology classification code are simultaneously provided, or weighted value information calculated by a combination thereof; (c) searching for a technology classification code directly connected to a technology classification code of the next step selected from the presented technology classification code list by using the technology classification code connection map; (d) presenting a list including various pieces of attribute information of a patent group, to which the searched for technology classification code and the selected technology classification code are simultaneously provided, or weighted value information calculated by a combination thereof; and (e) repeating steps (c) and (d) until there are no more technology classification codes to be presented so as to present a connection path of the selected technology classification codes.
