PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire inner liner, satisfying jointly both of the compression set resistance and crack resistance of the inner liner installed as an air penetration-preventing layer of the tire, in high levels. SOLUTION: This rubber composition is characterized by blending 0.5 pt.wt. to 3 pts.wt. compounded zinc white as a zinc oxide equivalent and 0.1 to 0.9 pt.wt. sulfur based on a 100 pts.wt. diene-based rubber comprising a≥50 wt.% halogenated butyl rubber.
