PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance travel performance and fuel consumption performance of a vehicle at low cost, without adding great change to a conventional constitution of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A travel control method of a vehicle includes: determination steps S11, S12, S13 for determining whether a travelling state of a vehicle 1 is a start state, a straight forward state, or a turning state; a start assist step S20 for, when the travelling state is the start state, with respect to wheels 3 whose rotational speed is smaller out of front and back wheels 3, assisting a driving force by an electric motor 46 with respect to the wheels 3; a stable control step S30 for, when the travelling state is the straight forward state, reducing a rotational speed difference between the left and right wheels 3; and a turning control step S40 for, when the travelling state is the turning state, controlling the rotational speed of the left and right wheels 3.
