<p>PURPOSE:To determine paper feed pressure almost within a constant range by use of a single cassette without increasing the size of a paper feeding device, prevent a high cost, eliminate need of replacing the cassette even for using sheets of different sizes, and facilitate operation. CONSTITUTION:A plural resilient members 45 having energization force according to respective sizes of sheets 28 to be placed on a bottom plate 54 are provided at a rotation center axis 42 of a pushup plate 41 according to the sheet sizes. The sheets 28 are then placed on the bottom plate 54 of a paper feed cassette 40, they are positioned by side guides 55, and the paper feed cassette 40 is installed. The resilient members 45 of the corresponding sheet size the then pushed down by protruding parts 55a provided at the side guides 55, the bottom plate 54 is pushed up by a pushup plate 41 to press the uppermost sheet 28 to a paper feed roller 27a, and the sheets 28 are fed from the top in order by rotation of the paper feed roller 27a.</p> |
