The drive train between the shed movement mechanism and the drive output of the loom (6) has a superimposed gearing (4) set to meet the expression omega 3=f( omega 1, omega 2), where omega is the rotary speed and the indices 1 is the drive input from the loom, 2 the superimposed gearing and 3 the drive output to the shed movement mechanism.
