High strength, storage stable, anthraquinone blue dye solutions

A solution of mixed anthraquinone blue dyes in a non-polar organic solvent is new. The dye mixture is the reaction product of quinizarin and/or leuco-quinizarin with 15-35 mole% each of 2-ethylhexylamine, n-butylamine, amylamine and methylamine. A solution of mixed anthraquinone blue dyes in a non-polar organic solvent is new. The dyes are of formula (I). [Image] R : 2-ethylhexyl, mixed amyl, n-butyl or methyl. The dye mixture is the reaction product of quinizarin and/or leuco-quinizarin with 15-35 mole% each of 2-ethylhexylamine, n-butylamine, amylamine and methylamine.
