PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally operating a producing means even when milled coffee is supplied by means of hand by surely preventing milled coffee from overflowing into the producing means even when the quantity of milled coffee added at the time of supply by means of hand is too much. SOLUTION: A protecting device 12 is provided with an interrupting means 22 including a bar 23 and a sensor 24. The bar 23 is moved in left and right by a magnetic coil 25 which is arranged inside a housing 9 and extended to the inside of a hopper 10. An entrance opening part 11 is not opened when the bar 23 is positioned on the rotary orbit of a cover 13. The sensor 24 detects whether or not a handle 19 exists at a placement position on the housing 9 and decides a frequency for raising the handle 19 by a calculation element. Then the bar 23 is instantaneously and automatically moved to a restriction position when the sensor 24 detects the danger of flowing-over the producing means by the coffee amount to be replenished next time.
