The buffer reservoir comprises a steel plate container with one or two flange openings (8) in the lid (1) for inserting perpendicular heat exchangers. At least one header (3) and one return (4) are incorporated into the reservoir jacket (2). The header and return can be mounted horizontally on the jacket to hold a prefabricated pump assembly.
