<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the fuel utilization factor of a fuel cell generation system without increasing the power of an accessory. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell generation system comprises a CO shift converter 4 for producing hydrogen and carbon dioxide with the reaction of carbon monoxide in fuel electrode exhaust gas 61 with water vapor, and hydrogen separation reservoirs 7, 8 for selectively reserving hydrogen in CO shift converter exhaust gas 15 and releasing the reserved hydrogen with the thermal energy of oxidant electrode exhaust gas 63, wherein the hydrogen released from the hydrogen separation reservoirs 7, 8 is recycled in a fuel cell.
