<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent loss of synchronism and the like so as to improve controllability by controlling a driving motor, so that its generation torque on the movable nozzle closing side with a smaller opening is increased in comparison with that on the movable nozzle opening side with a larger opening, when the movable nozzle in a turbocharger is controlled. SOLUTION: In a turbine housing 22 for a variable displacement type turbocharger 20, a movable nozzle 60 for controlling an exhaust gas flow rate is provided, and the movable nozzle 60 varies its opening in response to the rotating direction and the rotation amount of a step motor 50, while the step motor 50 is controlled by means of a control unit 40. In this process, in driving control of the step motor 50, generation torque of a driving motor on the movable nozzle 60 closing side with a smaller opening is controlled so as to be greater than that on the movable nozzle 60 opening side with a larger opening. In this way, the movable nozzle 60 can be controlled without deterioration in its operation response or causing loss of synchronism and the like.</p> |
