PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure steering operability by preventing a battery from being stopped in function thereof in the state that function of the battery is being deteriorated in a steering control device for controlling drive of a steering motor in response to the external force applied to steering of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A plurality of computing sections 21-23 and 31 compute a control amount of steering operation to be applied to the external force of a different frequency component in response to results of detection by a torque sensor 51 and a driving current detecting section 45, and a drive control section 44 controls drive of the steering motor 45 giving steering force to steering 56 based on results of computing by respective computing sections 21-23 and 31. A voltage detecting/operation restricting section 42 monotonously reduces the control amount of steering operation in relation to the external force of a specified frequency component having a relatively low frequency, as battery state detected by the voltage detecting/operation restricting section 42 deteriorates in a powering function of the battery 53.
