A server system for a client group to easily manage and offer contents discriminated to each client group, and a control method thereof are provided to effectively restrict traffic and manage/offer contents discriminated to each client group by reducing the number of access and packets between a server and a client, and improving network efficiency. A K-server stores common contents provided to all clients, determines an area and a group of the client from access information of the client, and assigns an S-server corresponding to the area and the group to the client. A plurality of S-servers are respectively assigned to each group, connect to the clients included in the assigned group, transmit the access information of the client to the K-server, receive the common contents from the K-server, and store/manage the unique contents of the assigned group. A plurality of clients(131-136) transmit the access information to the S-server by connecting to the S-server, and receive the common and unique contents from the S-server.
