1. An ultrasound probe diagnosing system, comprising:
an ultrasound probe including an array of a plurality of ultrasound transducing elements configured to diagnose the ultrasound probe on the basis of how the ultrasound probe receives reflected ultrasound waves from a test object placed to face the ultrasound probe; a control microprocessor configured to:
variably set transmission/reception periods in repetitive ultrasound wave transmission/reception for each ultrasound wave transmission/reception, the transmission/reception periods being variably set so that times of the transmission/reception periods are sequentially incremented;execute, for at least one of the ultrasound transducing elements, a processing of adding reflected ultrasound signals repeatedly output from one of the plurality of ultrasound transducing elements for each of said set transmission/reception periods while leading edges of the reflected ultrasound signals are matched with each other; anddiagnose the ultrasound probe on the basis of at least one of the added reflected ultrasound signals by using the at least one of the added reflected ultrasound signals in a posture determination. |
