The present invention relates to a seat belt buckle. A thick-film polymer membrane switch can be located in the seat belt buckle and can detect whether the seat belt buckle is in a fastening state or an unfastening state. The seat belt buckle comprises: a housing which has a void; an insertion member which can move in the void; a connector which is located in the void; and a switch which is located in the void, wherein the movement of the insertion member allows the connector to be connected or disconnected to/from the switch. The switch comprises: a first conductive element which is formed to be adjacent to a first layer of a flexible membrane; and a second conductive element which is formed to be adjacent to a second layer of the flexible membrane, wherein the first and second layers of the flexible membrane are separated by the gap therebetween. Therefore, the present invention reduces installation complexity and reduces required costs. |
