Provided is a lighting device having excellent image projection function capable of efficiently dissipating, to the outside, heat generated from a light emitting element and a projector. This lighting device is held in a state of being suspended from a holder fixed to a ceiling surface, and emits illuminating light. The lighting device is provided with: a light source for generating the illuminating light, said light source being disposed in the housing; a diffusion plate, which is attached to a part of the housing, and which diffuses the illuminating light emitted from the light source; and a projector, which is disposed inside of a space formed by the housing and a part of the diffusion plate, and which projects an image to a projection surface. The holder is formed such that the inside thereof is hollow, and the housing is configured so as to guide, to the hollow section of the holder, the air warmed by the light source and the projector, which are disposed inside of the housing. |
