PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus which can increase a ratio of printing parts of a paper and can efficiently utilize paper resources. SOLUTION: When a sum of the number of printing data lines (J1 and J2) of continuous printing pages (Pa1 and Pa2) exceeds the number of lines (L) of one page frame (J1+J2>L), a padding process is not conducted (Pb1). When the sum is not larger than the number of lines of one page frame (J2+J3<=L), blank lines which can be eliminated of the continuous pages are eliminated, and then a padding process of combining printing data lines (J2 and J3) of the pages is carried out (Pb2). If the sum having the number of printing data lines of a succeeding printing page (Pb4) added exceeds the number of lines of one page frame and this excess is not larger than a predetermined ratio ((J2+J3+J4)/L<=1.01), lines are reduced correspondingly to the excess or the like process is carried out in a padding printing process (Pc2). |
