<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an oxidation corrosion of a catalyst of a catalyst layer or a catalyst carrier and reduce a water content in the fuel cell efficiently as well when a fuel cell is shut down. <P>SOLUTION: When the fuel cell is shut down, a cathode gas and an anode gas supply is stopped, and after a cathode side is closed tight, cathode gas exhausted from the fuel cell is circulated in the fuel cell as cathode circulating gas, and a water content of the circulating gas in the circulating passage is removed and by controlling a circulation based on a water content in the cathode circulating gas, the oxidation corrosion of the catalyst of the catalyst layer or the catalyst carrier is controlled, and furthermore, the water content in the fuel cell can be efficiently reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
