Additive comprises a (meth)acrylic polymer obtained by polymerization of at least one (meth)acrylic monomer, where at least 20%, preferably at least 50% of carbon of the monomer is originated from renewable sources according to ASTM D6866. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for preparing the (meth)acrylic monomer of formula (R 1-C(=O)-Z 1-R 3-Z 2-C(=O)-C(R 4)=CH 2) (I), comprising reacting ester compound of plant or animal oil of formula (R 1-COO-R 2) with a bifunctional compound of formula (X-R 3-Y 1) followed by the reaction with (meth)acrylic ester compound of formula (CH 2=C(R 4)-C(=O)-OR 5); and (2) the (meth)acrylic polymer obtained by radical polymerization of (meth)acrylic monomer.
