A bookstand for a car is provided to enable a user to safely read a book in a driving car and to easily attach and remove the bookstand in the car. The bookstand for a car includes a tub with an air injecting unit(13) having a support for supporting the lower portion of an opened book and a supporting plate(17) for supporting the back of the opened book and a cover(15) of paper-bag shape fixed to the back of the supporting plate(17) to cover a headrest(19) of a car seat(18).The support has a supporting board(12a) which is inflated by the injection of air to press the center of the opened book, and supporting projections(12b) connected to both ends of the supporting board(12a) and both ends of the supporting plate(17). The cover(15) has two absorption plates(16) to be fixed to a smooth surface or a window glass inside the car.
