PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance feeling of operation by properly adjusting movement of an operating part along its pressing direction, in an operation switch such as a jog dial for example. SOLUTION: This operation switch 1 to detect existence of pressing based on the change of relative positional relation between the operating part and a pedestal part 20, which is caused by applying pressing to the operating part 10 from the outside, has a fulcrum part in a fulcrum 31 abutting on (i) the pedestal part, and an action part 33a in an action point 33 corresponding to (ii-1) the fulcrum and a power point 32 abutting on (ii-2) the operating part, and is equipped with a lever part 30 capable of moving the action part with (iii) the fulcrum part as a fulcrum, and a detecting means 40 to detect existence of pressing based on the movement of the action part.
