<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna unit of which a plate-like radiation element is curved for miniaturizing, in which a frequency range usable as a horizontal plane omnidirectional antenna is expanded for a wider band of the unit. <P>SOLUTION: The antenna unit comprises a plate-like radiation element 1 of which slits S1 and S2 are formed in parallel with a specified interval on a metal plate, with a third slit S3 formed to connect the centers of the slits S1 and S2. The radiation element 1 is curved in circle around a center axis M parallel to the third slit S3. The radiation element 1 functions as a so-called skeleton slot antenna, and the size and shape of the slits S1 and S2 are so set that the length of loops L1 and L2 formed above and below feeder points 2a and 2b is different from each other. As a result, an antenna unit can be of wide band, and a wide band antenna for a gap filler that re-transmits television broadcast radiowaves of UHF band is easily realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
