PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for producing a nonwoven fabric that can be used for producing a shaped nonwoven fabric, without disordering fibers of a fiber web in a process of forming unevenness on a fiber web, while preventing mutual fusion or entanglement of fibers through holes arranged on a substrate.SOLUTION: Provided is a substrate for producing a nonwoven fabric that has a plurality of rod-like bodies 11 arranged in parallel, a plurality of protrusions 12 arranged between the rod-like bodies 11, and holes 13, each of which exists in an area between adjacent rod-like bodies 11 and surrounded by the adjacent protrusions 12 in a longitudinal direction of the rod-like bodies. The protrusions 12 and the holes 13 are alternately arranged in a first direction (MD direction) and in a second direction (CD direction) orthogonal to the first direction, and the protrusions 12 are mutually arranged at a predetermined interval. The protrusions 12 have a first face 12A and a second face 12B opposing each other. |
