PURPOSE: To provide a catheter device including a catheter to which a needle is inserted and in which even a small amount of the flashback can not be overlooked, and the large amount of the flashback can be coped with while any accident caused by the needle after use is prevented. CONSTITUTION: A needle 24 to be inserted in a catheter is fitted to a needle hub connected to a flash chamber 26. In the flash chamber 26, one end of the needle 24 is connected to a transparent plastic tube, and the flash is first observed in a flash tube 29. The blood of the quantity exceeding the acceptable value of the tube flows into the flash chamber of a large capacity from the flash tube 29.
