MICROCOMPUTER HAVING BUILT-IN FLASH MEMORY WITH ON-CHIP PROGRAMMABILITY AND METHOD OF PROGRAMMING DATA IN FLASH MEMORY

PURPOSE: A microcomputer having on-chip programmability is provided to reprogram utilizing the microcomputer without external programming tools. CONSTITUTION: The microcomputer comprises a built-in flash memory divided into at least two blocks; a microprocessor, coupled to the built-in flash memory, having a timer capable of generating an interrupt signal while elapsing preset time; and a register set temporarily storing data to be programmed in a user block of the flash memory, wherein the flash memory includes a loader block storing a loader program, and the user block having the same start address as that of the load block and storing at least one application program.
