PURPOSE: An overload preventing device of a watergate is provided to prevent the error of operation and breakage of a device by stopping the operation of an opening and closing device of a watergate with sensing at once in case of overloading on the route where a watergate is elevated when operating the watergate opening and closing device. CONSTITUTION: The installation of an overload preventing device of a watergate comprises the steps of: installing a rotation axle(111) of a motor(110) and a worm rotation axle(120) connected to a coupling(112) at inside of a housing of a worm decelerating apparatus(100) to move in a specific interval of left and right; installing one side of the worm rotation axle(120) at a spline axle(121) and also combing the one side of the worm rotation axle to a coupling(112) connected to the rotation axle(111) of the motor(110); establishing a hooking band(123) for operating a safety device at the position near the worm(122); installing a spring(125) which the elastic power is controlled by a control nut(124) at the other end.
