PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material, a method and a device for forming a multicolor image, which provides a large-sized high quality and highly stable DDCP excellent in printing registering and can prevent the lowering of an image quality from developing due to the intrusion of foreign matters in a recording device at the supplying of image receiving sheets and a thermal transfer sheet to the recording device. SOLUTION: By applying laser beam to the image forming layers of the respective thermal sheets and the image receiving layer of the image receiving sheet which are piled up in opposite to each other, the laser beam irradiation region of the image forming layer is transferred onto the image receiving layer of the image receiving sheet for recording an image. In this case, the ratio of the optical density of the image forming layer of each of the respective thermal transfer sheets to the thickness (μm) of the layer is 1.50 or more. The recording area of each multicolor image in the respective thermal transfer sheets is 515×728 mm or more. The resolution of each transferred image is 2,400 dpi or more. At the same time, the respective sheets, are fed under a rolled state and automatically conveyed. Simultaneously, the respective thermal transfer sheets are recorded with laser beam in the order of KCMY. |
