<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control user-customizable contents and the range of effect of customization in accordance with UI components and operating environments. <P>SOLUTION: Each UI component included in a UI screen is comprised of zero or more parameters, and users specify display items by setting or resetting the value of each parameter. For each parameter, users privileged to make changes and the range of effect of changes are specified in meta information.
