The battery cell (1) has cell housing and a foil-sleeve (7), which has two different polarities around a winding spindle (2) of wound electrode foils (3,4). The electrode foils of polarities are electrically conducted with electrical contact elements (8,9). The two electrical contact elements of each battery cell are electrically insulated from each other and from the cell housing.
