PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a copper color composition used as a copper color coating material; a process for providing a colored surface; and an item including the colored surface.SOLUTION: A copper color coating composition includes components a-d, where a. an organic vehicle of at least approximately 30 wt.%: b. Au existing in the composition in the form of an Au organic compound of approximately 0.5-35 wt.%: c. a tetravalent metal existing in the composition in the form of a tetravalent organic metal compound of approximately 0.1-10 wt.%: d. Bi existing in the composition in the form of a Bi organic compound of approximately 0-6 wt.%: a molar ratio of the Au to the tetravalent metal is preferably 1:5-20:1, and the tetravalent metal is desirably one or more metals selected from Ti, Zr, Hf, Mo, Co, Cu, Sn or Si and is preferably, especially Ti, Zr or both.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
