SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECOGNIZING IMAGE OF LATCHING GEAR

PURPOSE: A latching gear shape recognition system and method are provided to determine normality of a latching gear by recognizing the latching gear shape from an image by a camera. CONSTITUTION: A latching gear shape recognition system comprises a shape recognition unit(310) which recognizes the shapes of latching gears installed on the upper and lower parts of a coking chamber door of a coke oven by receiving a color image showing the shape of the latching gear from a camera, an image convert unit(320) which converts the color image into a grayscale image, a binary system(330) which converts the grayscale image into a binary image, and an image analyzing unit(360) which analyzes the pixels of the binary image and decides whether the latching gears are latched in a hook.
