The blade setter has a station to which the teeth of a bandsaw advance in increments. At the station there are a number of tooth-setting members which reciprocate from a n inoperative position in which the members are spaced apart from the teeth to an operativ e position in which each member engages a separate tooth with resulting adjustment of the rake thereof. The reciprocation of the tooth-setting members is coordinated with the advancing means of the teeth so that the members are in an inoperative position while the teeth advance a nd at the end of each advance, the members are in an operative position.
