<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely implement a soundness diagnosis. <P>SOLUTION: An inverse matrix of a correlation matrix is calculated. If a matrix as a product of the inverse matrix and the correlation matrix is not a unit matrix, a singular value decomposition of the correlation matrix is implemented. An approximate inverse matrix is calculated by obtaining a product of three matrices as a diagonal matrix whose inverse numbers of smallest singular values are sequentially replaced with zero and two orthogonal matrices obtained by the singular value decomposition until the unit matrix is obtained. A Mahalanobis distance is calculated by using the approximate inverse matrix when the matrix the product of the correlation matrix and the approximate inverse matrix becomes almost the unit matrix. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
