PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle remote control system and an on-vehicle repeater that enable the reliable remote control of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle remote control system 1 comprises an on-vehicle repeater 10 capable of communicating with a vehicle control device 110. The on-vehicle repeater 10 comprises: a storage unit 31 that stores transmission timing determination information, i.e. information to determine transmission timing as a transmission aspect of transmitting a pseudo activation response signal functioning as an activation response signal; and a response signal transmission circuit 16 that transmits the pseudo activation response signal to the vehicle control device 110 on the basis of the transmission timing determination information stored in the storage unit 31 when receiving an activation response request signal transmitted by the vehicle control device 110.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
