PURPOSE: To improve the treatment of a motion vector which can be a pseudo-motion vector by judging whether or not a second correlation point detected from a part except a surrounding removed area of a first maximum correlation point is adjacent to the removed area or and whether or not possibility of the pseudo-motion vector. CONSTITUTION: An input video signal 50 is converted into a regulated format in a matrix circuit 120 by way of a buffer 110 and a video signal, in which two input fields selected in a delay part 130 are properly delayed and a control signal (t) are inputted in a processing part 140. On the other hand, a field pair of an input video signal from a circuit 120 is selected with a sampler 170, a delay part 180 and inputted in a motion processing part 185. The maximum correlation point of a correlation curved surface is detected, whether or not the second correlation point is adjacent to the removed area is detected from the part except the surrounding removed area of the first correlation part is judged and the possibility to be the pseudo-motion vector is displayed by a motion vector estimating part 210. Best motion vectors are selected by three in a processing part 220, selected according to a priority level in a selecting part 230 and outputted through processing parts 240 and 140 by a processing part 220. |
