INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM HOUSING TRAY AND COVERING STRUCTURE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium housing tray and its covering structure which can be produced inexpensively in a simple structure and are available for protecting an information recording medium such as CD safely with easiness for handling in putting-in and taking-out ensured. SOLUTION: The tray and covering structure are made up of the tray 1c which elastically supports the information recording medium 3 through an elastic support mechanism 22 and the cover 2c which covers the tray 1c and has a pressing/holding mechanism 23 which presses the elastically supported information recording medium 3 toward the tray and holds the medium under the state of being pressed. The information recording medium 3 is held, being slightly afloat above the surface of the tray. With the structure as mentioned above, the information recording medium 3 is protected safely and can be put in and taken out easily with intrusion of moisture and dusts and influence by humidity being prevented.
