PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To spread a screen of large size with extremely simple constitution without wrinkling nor slackening the screen. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for the screen on which a projection type display device projects image light includes a stage of fixing beltlike plate materials 2 and 3 on at least two opposite sides of a reverse surface of a screen sheet 1, a stage of arranging a first frame body 7 on the reverse surface side of the screen sheet 1 and inside the plate materials 2 and 3, a stage of falling the plate materials 2 and 3 on the first frame body 7 by rotating the plate materials 2 and 3 to apply tension between the two opposite sides of the screen sheet 1, and a stage of fixing the plate materials 2 and 3 fallen on the first frame body 7 to the first frame body 7.
