PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon composite material for a PEFC separator that is flexible and excellent in compression strength, and particularly excellent in moldability, anticorrosion performance, conductivity and air-tightness, and a manufacturing method for the same.SOLUTION: A carbon composite material 1 for PEFC which is obtained by forming a carbon layer 10 comprising carbon powder 2 and thermoplastic resin 3 on at least one surface of a metal foil 20 has an adhesive agent layer 30 which is obtained by adhesively attaching the metal foil 20 and the carbon layer 10 through adhesive agent and provided between the metal foil 20 and the carbon layer 10. The adhesive agent contains modified polyolefin resin obtained by introducing a functional group into polyolefin resin. The modified polyolefin resin contains a carboxyl group or a derivative thereof or a halogen group. The thermoplastic resin is polypropylene resin or polyethylene resin. The compression strength is equal to 3 MPa or more, no crack is found at a flexural strain of 0.67% or more, and the contact resistance is not more than 20 mΩ cm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
