The present disclosure is related to a microchip apparatus, where the microchip apparatus comprises a plurality of metallic layers. Each of the metallic layers may have a respective layer thickness. The microchip apparatus also comprises electronic components integrated within the metallic layers. The electronic components may be configured to communicate data. Further, the electronic components include an antenna feed. The microchip apparatus includes an antenna coupled to the antenna feed. The antenna includes multiple loops, each loop being formed by at least one layer of the metallic layers.

1. A microchip apparatus comprising:
a plurality of metallic layers, wherein each of the metallic layers has a respective layer thickness; one or more electronic components integrated within the metallic layers, wherein the one or more electronic components are configured to communicate data, and wherein the one or more electronic components comprise an antenna feed; and an antenna coupled to the antenna feed, wherein the antenna comprises multiple loops, wherein the antenna is configured to resonate at a resonant frequency, and wherein each loop being formed by at least one layer of the metallic layers, wherein at least one loop of the antenna comprises multiple layers of the metallic layers, wherein the multiple layers are coupled together by a plurality of vias.
