<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a Zn-Sn-Mg-based alloy which is hardly disconnected. <P>SOLUTION: The molten metal obtained by melting the raw material containing >1 to <80 mass% Sn, >0.01 and <5 mass% Mg, and the balance Zn is solidified, and the molten metal under solidification is cooled down to ≤50°C at a cooling rate of ≥20°C/sec from the eutectic temperature of the Zn-Sn-Mg-based alloy. For the purpose of cooling, the cooling water is preferably sprayed to the molten metal under solidification. Heat treatment is executed after the cooling, and thereby the elongation can be further improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
