<p>PURPOSE:To realize a compact function controlling the movement of a reel base in the axial direction by moving the reel mount in the width direction of a magnetic tape by means of a piezo-electric actuator mainly using a piezo elements and ultrasonic motors. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic recording and reproducing device expands the deplacement of a piezo element 36 by means of an expansion mechanism consisting of lever arms 38 and 39 and elastic hinges 40, 41, 42, and 43 and rotates and displaces a rotation table 46 by means of the expansion mechanism. The rotation displacement is converted in the axial direction by means of an inclination cam 49 and transmitted to a reel base 31 through a poll 50, making the reel mount 31 ascend and descend in the axial direction. When the tape travels, by expanding and contracting the piezo element 36 through a piezo element driving driver according to the output from a detecting device, the reel base 31 is moved in the temporary axial direction. Thus, the tape is controlled so as to travel at the position of a reference height.</p> |
