Movable top and bottom rail guided partition wall - with spring fitting against movable wider covering strip in top rail

The movable partition wall is of the type with open grooved rails in the floor and ceiling, and wall elements extended between floor and ceiling, with edge springs fitting in these. The rails have two edge battens which narrow the groove opening and fit against the wall elements. The groove depth of the top rail is less than that of the bottom rail. The spring device is inserted into the top rail groove and fits against a vertically movable covering strip (38) inside the groove, this strip being wider than the opening (36) which is narrowed by the edge battens (32, 34). The spring device may be made up from a number of helical springs (40) set at an interval from each other with vertical axes or a leaf spring extending lengthways through the top rail.
