<p>PURPOSE:To ensure band allocation to a traffic in which cell discard might be caused statistically when various sets of user information from a low speed till a high band in the asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) are sent through a network. CONSTITUTION:This system consists of CIN91-9N linking capacities of plural multiplex unit paths in the synchronous transfer mode(STM), a CNC7 allowing CLM81-8N multiplexing cells to the linked path to execute the linking for band limit and an STM 5 multiplexing the cell in the ST mode finally, and an ATM cell flow is subjected to band limit by using the linked path capacity as its upper limit. Thus, the upper limit of the band at the contract based on the information from the user is surely limited by the STM technology. Thus the cell discard including other information cells is avoided in the network.</p> |
